Doctor Sleep follows adult Danny Torrance, a recovering alcoholic using his psychic "shining" to help hospice patients, as he's drawn into a battle against the quasi-immortal True Knot, a cult of psychic vampires who hunt children with similar powers, especially a powerful girl named Abra Stone, forcing Dan to confront his past and protect the innocent.
