Percy Jackson and the Olympians Season 2

Review
I really enjoyed this season of Percy Jackson and would give it 5 stars. The first season was good but I thought that parts of it were rushed and that it lacked the ability to keep me invested and wasn’t as enjoyable as the book. Compared to season 1 this season was very well adapted and the timing was a lot better. I liked how they developed Percy, Annabeths, Clarisses and Lukes characters. This season showed Luke’s side of the story more and why he chose to join Kronos and how he isn’t fully evil but just feels neglected by his father. I also enjoyed how Clarisse was a main character this season and how she learned the lesson of not pushing away others and became friends with the other characters. I also loved Tyson and the brotherly relationship they portrayed between him and Percy and how they protected and cared for each other. Overall the season was great and even though they made some changes from the book I think the changes were necessary to elevate the story line. The ending of this season was a perfect cliff hanger and created lots of excitement for the new upcoming season and already set a good storyline for season 3.
The Maze Runner

Review
The plot of The Maze Runner is fast-paced and keeps the reader engaged from the very beginning. The story flows well because each chapter ends with a mystery or cliffhanger that makes you intrigued. The gradual reveal of information about the maze and the characters’ situation is effective, even though it can be confusing at times. This confusion matches how Thomas feels, which helps the reader connect to him.
James Dashner’s writing style is descriptive but not overly complicated, making it easy for teenage readers to understand, while still being exciting. The maze itself is vividly described, and the dangerous atmosphere adds tension to the story. One strength of the book is how it focuses on teamwork, leadership, and survival under pressure. The characters all play important roles, and their interactions feel realistic given their situation. Personally, I enjoyed how the maze itself felt like a character because its constant changes, and dangers made the story more intense, and kept me curious about what would happen next.
One flaw of the book is that some characters are not fully developed, and their backstories are not explained much; leaving some plot holes in the story, which could also lead to fan theories about the story. Compared to other dystopian books like The Hunger Games, The Maze Runner focuses more on mystery and problem-solving rather than politics, or personal choice. While The Hunger Games may explain its world more clearly, The Maze Runner does a better job at creating suspense and urgency.
Overall, The Maze Runner is an exciting and engaging book that successfully combines mystery, action, and survival. The strengths of the story outweigh its flaws, making it an enjoyable read.
Interstellar

Review
Overall, I really liked Interstellar, even though it definitely has some flaws. The plot mostly flows well, especially in the first half, and the tension created by time dilation makes the story feel meaningful and emotional. However, the writing becomes confusing toward the end, and some important ideas are explained very quickly, which makes the ending harder to fully understand. Visually, the film is incredible, and the realistic space scenes make it stand out from other sci-fi movies. The emotional moments, especially between Cooper and Murph, outweigh the confusing science for me. However, movies like The Martian handle these confusing concepts in a clearer and more straightforward way, which might make them easier to follow. Interstellar focuses more on emotion and big ideas than on clear explanations, which works most of the time but not always. I would recommend this film to people who enjoy thoughtful, emotional science fiction and don’t mind a slower pace or confusing moments. Viewers looking for fast action or simple storytelling might not enjoy it as much, but for fans of deep, visually stunning movies, Interstellar is a fantastic watch.
Red Dead Redemption 2

Review
Red Dead Redemption 2 is one of the most immersive and emotional games I have played. From the second you start playing everything feels alive. The detailed landscapes with realistic weather, wildlife and towns make the game feel like a real world and not just a game setting. As a person who loves a good story game, Red Dead Redemption 2 immediately pulled me in. Arthur Morgan is one of he best characters in gaming history. Watching his growth and inner conflicts throughout the story makes the experience extremely meaningful. The relationship between the members of the gang feel real and their struggles add weight. The game takes its time in regards to story progression, but its slow pace helps build your relationship and attachment to the characters. The gameplay is amazing, with satisfying gunfights, exploration, hunting etc. The world feels endless with how much content there is. The story is absolutely incredible and is one of the only story games I’ve actually shed a tear playing. Overall, Red Dead Redemption is not a game, it is a cinematic masterpiece that engulfs you in one of the richest stories in all of video games. This game truly shows how a well developed game can have the same results as a movie. You have to experience this story at least once.
Ghost of Tsushima

Review
Ghost of Tsushima is one of the most visually impressive and immersive game on the market right now. Even though it is now 6 years old, it stills competes with modern day creations. Every detail in the game is carefully crafted for historical accuracy and immersion. From the stunning graphics, sound design, down to the armor is carefully crafted. Riding through tall grass fields, large forests and temples make the world feel alive. What stands out about this game is the combat. Sword fighting feels smooth, intense and skill based, making every fight and dual exciting. The game follows Jin Sakai, a traditional samurai forced to disobey his ways in order to save his people. This storyline infuses the story with meaning so the game isn’t just action. The game also uses creative design choices. For example the wind guides you to your destination not a mini-map. This makes exploration natural and completely in your control. The strong story, beautiful visuals and satisfying combat make this game top tier. If this game interests you, the sequel to this game came out in late 2025 called ‘The Ghost of Yotei‘. I have nothing but high expectations for that game. Overall, Ghost of Tsushima is an absolute must play and an unforgettable experience. Every aspect of the game down to the smallest details make it addicting to play and leave you touched by the story. While samurai games are a pretty common topic when it comes to video games, Ghost of Tsushima feels like you’re playing through a samurai film, essentially defining this genre of game. Its not shock that this title has won 14 different awards, one of which being game of the year!
Interstellar

Review
Interstellar is by far the greatest movie I have ever seen, especially for someone like me who is fascinated by space and the unknown. I first watched this movie in school for my astronomy class, while I didn’t pay much attention to it the movies concept intrigued me. After watching it for the first time I introduced all my friends to it. What made this movie stand out is how it mixes real science with an emotional and engaging story that will leave you amazed with every scene. The insane visual of space, black holes and distant planets make you realize how small we are compared to what could up in space. Interstellar does an amazing job explaining complex ideas like relativity, how gravity can warp time and the physics of black holes and worm holes. So far no other space movie has been able to achieve that. The characters in the movie feel real and relatable, especially Cooper’s relationship with his daughter Murph. Their connection adds so much heart to an intense story. The director as well as Hans Zimmerman must be credited for their choices with SFX and music all have a purpose which suck you into the screen making you feel like your experience the events. The movie contains small details that play huge parts to the story and this movie probably has one of the best endings I’ve ever seen. Overall this is a must watch at least once, but you’ll probably end up watching it multiple times.
Little Women (2019)

Review
After watching the film and writing an analysis of age aspects, especially through the ideas of growing from girlhood to womanhood, for my film class, I hope I have a well-rounded understanding of the movie. When first watching, I thought it was cute, simple, and everything that people looked for in a film. But when diving deeper into the cultural aspects and the individual characters, you see how deeply Little Women can touch the lives of people, especially women. The March family embodies a spirit that people really resonate with, no matter the culture. Through the sisters, we see the importance of women’s choice, whether that be more traditional than the classic feminist route. Meg, the eldest sister, longs to be a mother and have children, the exact opposite of Jo, who sets herself on freedom and rejects traditional views. Amy and Beth round out this spectrum of choice. Amy, who yearns for such feminist freedoms, but acknowledges that such liberties are out of reach. In Beth, we see the quiet strength of a soft demeanor, a quality that society can often dismiss as ‘insignificant’ or considered ‘boring’. Contrastingly, the film employs parallel storylines and color coding to contrast the girls’ childhoods with their adult lives, adding a fresh, modern spin to Alcott’s story. I would recommend this film to pre-teens and young adults trying to make sense of the world. Little Women offers strong female characters that serve as role models. It offers life lessons, themes of sisterhood, and most importantly, self-discovery.
The Fantastic Four: First Steps

Review
I would give this movie 4 stars because I thought it was one of the better Marvel movies in recent years. I liked how they made Sue a leader and showed her not just as a hero but as a mother, wife and peacemaker. I think she is one of the best new female characters. I also liked how they used technology and inventions to stop crime and not just fighting. I enjoyed how they developed Johnny’s character and had him still be charismatic but also gave him other important traits. They also showed how Ben struggled with his transformation and how he misses his old self which showed how being a hero isn’t always easy. Overall the movie was very well made and had a good plot that kept me hooked the whole movie. I loved the post credit and it explained how the Fantastic Four will lead into the new Avengers movies. This movie made me even more excited for the next Marvel movies to come out and helped to build anticipation. I’m also excited to see these characters again in another movie and I’m happy they are now a part of the Avengers and will be main characters in upcoming projects.
Attack on Titan

Review
Even after that lengthy summary it even feels like I only spoke about the tip of the Iceberg of what is considered Attack on Titan. This series is truly a cinematic masterpiece. The entire full circle from the pilot episode explaining what would happen at the end, to even the little easter eggs in the early seasons with adult Eren in the background during his childhood scenes since he had the ability to travel through his memories from the past. The plot twists in this show are completely insane like the scene you find out Eren was the one who indirectly killed his mother because the titan that went for her was signaled by Eren to not attack the Colossal titan since it was needed to save Armins life in the near future. This series is one of the rare ones that every single little detail does matter to the plot. If I were to give a complete in depth summary it would probably be multiple pages long. The ending had been planned out since the beginning of its writing which allowed the writer to implement so many silent symbols that really made this show close to perfection. Each and every character is so extremely complex like Eren, the protagonist turned antagonist. This show discusses many ideologies such as the never ending cycle of violence, the nature of freedom, and even concepts of nationalism and fascism. The manga series even ended on chapter 139 because in Japan the number 40 represents freedom, so this silently represents how Eren never truly achieved the freedom he desperately craved. I have and would recommend this to almost anyone I know because everything is just so beautifully written. This stands to be my favorite show/book in every sense because it was hard to not fall in love with everything about it. Overall this book deserves the max rating I have given it because it was orchestrated in such an unexpected turn of events that were oddly perfect in a way. Many netizens were not satisfied with the ending due to the fact it wasn’t a happy one nor was it perfect, but this makes it even more meaningful because nothing in life is perfect. The ending is written well to even show the ending of Erens story as a character- showing how he went so far for freedom he lost himself in the process.
